Teddy may have a cold. Not that he'll admit to it. Playing out in the snow was totally a good idea. After all, he and Will had the best fort. Obviously.If anyone asks, he's sitting slumped over a bowl of chicken soup, pale and sniffling with hair shaggy and lank, a dirty blond colour, it's just because he's in a bad mood. Really

It is the colour-changing hair and the general instantaneous morphing that catches his attention.

"What happened to you?" asks James, who has just come from upstairs. "You look awful."

[followfootsteps]

"Got a cold. I was playing in the snow with Will and a dog and a bunch of other people." Teddy replies between sneezes (accompanied by several split-second morphs.)

[notthatpotter]

James winces after each sneeze, then begins to frown.

"Wait a second. Everyone was playing in the snow?" And he didn't know about it? "When?"

[followfootsteps]

"A few days ago?" Sneeze. "You mean you weren't there? I thought I just missed you."

[notthatpotter]

James is not one to pout, but he is distinctly displeased with this.

Crossing his arms, he says rather glumly, "No. I don't even remember what I was doing a few days ago - but it definitely wasn't playing in the snow."

[followfootsteps]

"Sorry." Sheepishly. His hair even turns white and wooly. "Would've found you if I knew."

[notthatpotter]

"Oh, well," he says, letting out a sigh. "There'll be another one soon, won't there?"

If there is, he is so there.

[followfootsteps]

"The snow certainly won't be going anywhere for a while."

[notthatpotter]

"Good."

Now that that's done with, James feels far more cheerful.

"Was there a snowball fight, and everything?"

[followfootsteps]

"Yep. Will and I built a snow fort."

[notthatpotter]

Cue :O face.

"Really?"

Okay, now he really really really wishes he was there. Curses!

"Did you win? I bet you and Will won."

[followfootsteps]

"Our snow fort was the best." Proudly.

[notthatpotter]

"I'm sure it was," he says, nodding confidently. After all, it was a snow fort built by the two most coolest people ever.

Maybe after this, he'll go see if it's still around.

"Will didn't get sick too, did he?"

[followfootsteps]

"Don't know. Haven't seen him since."

[notthatpotter]

"Oh." He shrugs. "I haven't seen him much, either."

He finally takes the seat across from Teddy, and points at his soup. "You should drink that before it gets cold."

[followfootsteps]

"Yessir." Teddy says, amusedly, lifting the bowl to drink down the remainder of the soup.
