Momiji, needless to say, bounds into a seat, quickly procuring a piece of paper and a handful of the colorful, wax things. He looks somewhat ruffled, with a bandage on his left cheek, gadding about the Bar in pajamas - someone spent the evening relatively unplanned, it seems.
But, for now, there are crayons. And those're even better than snacks!
"Mm, I spent the night, last night. I didn't really mean to, and I came in late...so I only had pajamas."
He's woefully oblivious of the big band-aid covering most of his left cheek, and it's only after he turns back to his paper for a minute, tracing lines in a periwinkle blue, that he realizes that this, rather than his attire, might be the matter at hand.
"Uhm. And just sort of...messing around, back home."
Momiji shrugs, conveniently stooped over his paper as he says this, so that he isn't looking at Miniver. A moment later, he lifts up, revealing a vaguely, relatively poorly drawn, periwinkle coastline.
"And I guess I'm not really good at that kinda thing."
"I'm fine!" He shakes his head firmly, smiling at Miniver.
"I don't really need the band-aid, even. I just have it on for when I go home - Mia gave me this heal-y stuff, so the mark's already almost gone."
This is good. All other debilitating effects of getting beaten up by a relative aside, having his poor face with a big, ugly splotch on one side of it would have been really depressing.
Momiji nods knowingly, leaning over the table and casting his eyes around at all of the crayons, then back at his picture. It isn't particularly neat, but an amateuristic doodle of the beach is slowly shaping up.
"Really?" The rabbit-boy's eyes widen, and he looks over at Miniver incredulously, even as he starts trying to color his beach with the yellow crayon and with a tan one, attempting to mix the two but just coming off with competing scribbles.
"That must be really pretty. Except, if you tracked sand into the house, everything'd look strange!"
"Yeah, I mean, I've never seen it, but I've read. I guess it would look weird if you've got white furniture or something, but... ew, why would you do that?"

"Elaborate."
This is an order.

It's hard to explain. It had seemed incredibly important at the time, but, after, it had all just felt sort of futile and pointless.
"Not really. I just got someone back home mad, is all."

He flashes a re-assuring grin to Miniver.
"Don't worry! I will. Stuff like that doesn't happen much back home, anyway."
Just every once in a while.

"...What's a good sand crayon color...?"
Reply
"Unless it's Hawaiian. I hear they've got black and red beaches there."
