James is...not in a very good mood. While such a statement might strike fear in the hearts of men, such as when the Hulk gets angry, James Bond is also in no mood to go smash on anything. This is the sort of not very good mood that leads him to stare contemplatively into the fire, tapping his foot to count the seconds slipping by in a life he is not exactly satisfied with the moment.
Such are the type of moods that inspire random strangers to become amateur psychologists. Given that this is James Bond, however, anyone seeking to lend him his or her ear might be better off as amateur dentists than amateur psychologists. Pulling teeth is always fun.
