A whole hell of a lot has happened to Roy since he was last in the bar. The most notable event has, without question, been the return of Edward Elric to Amestris. For all that Roy's been trying to keep things under wraps for the sake of maintaining some sort of order and cutting down on questions, he knows from long and bitter experience that tongues will wag and rumours will fly fast and thick, no matter what sort of damage control he does with publicity. Fortunately things haven't gotten too bad -- yet. Roy's counting down the days.
That has not, however, stopped him from enjoying his birthday. (It was technically yesterday, but his mun is a retail slave and Black Friday + EP = WAH.) Even with the more or less constant remarks about him being an "old man," things have been pretty good. Of course, Roy probably has a very distorted view of what constitutes "pretty good" -- no wars breaking out, no one trying to assassinate him, and no invasion threats from Amestris' powerful neighbors.
So, one Fuhrer sitting in a comfortable chair before the fireplace, his booted feet propped on a coffee table and a new book in his hand. He looks pretty absorbed in the volume, not an uncommon occurrence, but he probably wouldn't mind if you stopped by to say hello.
