Teja is by the fireplace again, poring over that large book he has about Japanese sword-making.
By now, he is making headway with the steel-folding. It will be another week or so until there are enough layers, but it is working.
Today, he is reading about hardening the edge with clay.
He has a cup of tea, and is alert to the things and people around him while he reads. The mottled waitrat, just to be silly (and maybe to get some sort of revenge because Teja is known to consort with cats) tries to put sugar in his tea, but whenever the creature sneaks by, Teja casually put a hand over the mug.
Foiled again.
