And so to bed, thinks a tired Minerva McGonagall, deputy Headmistress of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, having just shepherded the last First Year to bed. Having lost the rest of the group heading to Gryffindor Tower for the first time, and unwisely taken the advice of a slightly-tipsy portrait, he’d been found by the Grey Lady wandering forlornly on the Second Floor, utterly lost.

Well, until the Weasley Twins set off a spot of first-night celebrations at 4am, anyway. Must try some more inventive detentions for them this year, not that I expect them to do any good. Which reminds me, must ask Filius to strengthen the wards around the Third Floor, now that Those Two are back. Wouldn’t do to have them investigating that, after all...

She’s so deep in thought that she doesn’t notice, immediately, when the door to her bedroom becomes the door to Milliways. The noise is what alerts her; her head flies up, one stubborn black curl making a bid for freedom from its neat confinement, her hand halfway on its way to her wand.

“...Good grief.”

If the Weasley twins find this place, there’ll be hell to pay.

[OOC: Hay folks, this is McGonagall from the beginning of Philosopher's Stone, and for the moment I'd prefer for her to remain unspoiled for the future of her canon, please. She will be in from later on in canon, and with less spoiler restrictions, I promise!]
