Should anyone come out to the lake area, there's a young man sitting on the grass, muttering and paging through a thick old book.

A young man with Sime tentacles on each arm, clearly visible as his sleeves are rolled up.

And there was a red-haired woman in spandex, barefoot and predator sure over the dying grass. One could be reasonably sure that she was headed in his direction because she was grinning, wider at every step, and oddly, the air warmed as she approached.

Once she was only a foot or two away, and kneeling on eye level with him the smile was beyond grinning to infectious "You really do look like Suzi's dad!"

He was already turning at the ripples in the ambient as she approached, and he blinks at her now.

"...you've met him?"

"Not physically, no" she admitted easily enough, wrapping her arms around her knees and toning down the grin just slightly "But she allowed me to see her life in Keon"

"You look good with tentacles"

"...thanks", he says, still a little bemused. "Hi, Rachel."

"You're welcome" she offered simply.

"Hello Jonathan. Life as a Sime treating you well?" She? Is absolutely delighted to have another Sime around, mainly because she was so attached to Suzi, so two, on good terms, had to be better right?

Plus, hey, cute tentacles.

"Pretty well so far", he says with a smile. "Still learning all of what I can do now."

"I've actually heard that that's one of the best factor of shifting form" of course, her information is from past teammates who were shifters, but! "...learning the ins and outs. I'm told it's like being a kid again, finding new boundaries..." she mused.

"Have you had your fair share of people telling you your crazy yet?" she asked with a grin.

"...only the one, actually", he admits with a rueful smile. "Andrew's kind of worried."

"Hey, you're doing better than average then!" nope, no way she wasn't going to be cheerful about it.

"What are his worries?>"

"About what happens if I get locked out of the bar, mostly. 'Cause we both know what will happen if that does."

"A valid worry...is there anyone else on your world with access to Milliways?" she asked at last "And have you considered adopting a new home" reorienting?

"Lots of people", he says quietly. "Andrew can make portals himself, if it comes to that. But he just... worries. And no, I can't leave my world."

"Well, as long as you can dragoon someone who can get to Milliways, you should be fine." she admitted, more to herself than him. "My votes for enjoying yourself as a Sime as long as you want" she chuckled.

"What's your world like?"

"Magic and monsters", Jonathan says solemnly. "And Slayers to kill the monsters."

"Mel's world or Well's girl's world?" she asked instantly. She understood the magic and monsters part, hell, she'd lived it, but Slayers were a little unique.

"Wells' girls", Jonathan answers. "Mel's from the future."
