Walter Peck stole the Ark of the Covenant from a government warehouse in Cleveland, Ohio as part of his plan for revenge on the Ghostbusters. He's finally been run to ground in Poughkeepsie, New York. Ray's been Bound in the Bar since this discovery, but tonight- tonight, the Door opened for him

"I get to come back to see those guys wrestle, right Ray?" Says a ten-year old boy with a helmet under one arm, wearing a slightly torn up (lots of pieces of broken wood will do that to) grey bodysuit and heavy duty boots.

"oh, sure," says Ray, who took a while to return after dealing with los Federales. "By the way, Mayor Garrett talked to the people at the Culinary Institute and got gift certificates for everybody to the restaurants they run on campus up there, so if you have any interest in that kind of thing for afterwards, it's good. They're for the fanciest restaurant they've got, but there's four or five restaurants on the campus and one of them is supposed to be dessert specialists."

There is an entire reastaurant devoted to desserts?

Somewhere, there might be a minor angel singing choir, because Tyler's face is lit up. "I could have dessert and see a pre-metapowered Coach do professional wrestling?"

Well, more to baked goods and relaxed dining, but they're really heavy on the desserts.

"Sure, I don't see why not. We just have to schedule things properly."

Tyler is getting into a massive giggle fit before his body catches up with him.

Somebody has been up way past their bedtime fighting evil.

"Poughkeepsie's not that bad when it's not having mouse plagues and zombies," Ray says. "We'll set something up. For now, you sound like your blood sugar's starting to drop. You want anything to eat?"

"Big smoothie and some crackers."

Adrenaline rushes are nice, but the crashes really hit you hard.

That doesn't stop his manners though.

"Please."

"No problem," Ray says, and signals one of the rats. "I owe all of you guys- and then some. There were two guys from the General Accounting Office there when I was introducing everybody to our new fishy friend. They said they'd be stopping by the Firehouse- since the President got us into this, we're getting paid at Federal rates, as high-level consultants."

"That means you're getting paid a lot for what just happened right?" Financing beyond his weekly allowance is more than Tyler really understands as one of the waitrats come over with Tyler's order.

"Yep- and the total amount is getting split among everyone who participated. Venkman kvetched about that a little, but he spent most of his time convincing the New York State Troopers to play along with us and the Feds, so he's entitled to a little whining."

Tyler grins, oh COOL spending money.

"Could you just keep my share with you, so it's ready whenever I visit?"

"Sure," Ray says. "We'll put it in a separate bank account for you. Safer that way."

The rat returns with the smoothie and crackers, and a burrito and green stuff for Ray.

The smoothie is attacked with some gusto, mhmmmm mango and orange sherbet. "So whens the earliest that you think it'll be okay for me to visit again without too many questions being asked?"

"About a week, I think," says Ray. "Compared to what happened at the opera house you guys caused relatively little damage at the Civic Center. They'll have it cleaned up and ready to go again pretty soon. If not a week, two at the outside."

"I think it would have been less if Mirai hadn't yelled out where he was."

"He's a little enthusiastic sometimes," says Ray. "I hope you didn't get banged up too badly in the process."
