Hey, bar. Have a Doctor. He's over by the Window, ignoring a cup of tea and staring out at the destruction.

It's been a trying couple of days for him, and he's oddly glad to be back someplace familiar.

Company would not go amiss.

[ooc: 10:35 EST -- Holy crap, guys! I love you all, but I am sooo crashing now. Will pick up all tags tomorrow!]

"Do you have any use for guano?"

The voice is, of course, familiar. The question... not so much.

He doesn't acknowledge her immediately. It's not out of rudeness, but merely because he's not paying attention to the world around him.

When he does finally register that other presence, he looks up, brow furrowed.

"What was that?"

"Do you have. any use. for guano?" she asks again, sounding irritated for having to repeat herself.

She has a fruit cup in one hand and a cup of tea in the other and she eyes the table next to his own for a moment before sitting across from him.

"Oh. Um. No, can't say that I have. Found yourself with an overage, have you?"

"Precisely," she says as she peers at her tea. Another moment of consideration has her picking at the fruit cup.

"How would Rose put it?" he muses. "Sucks to be you."

That earns him a flat look before a smile curls on her lips.

"In fact, I'm rather pleased. After all, the guano in question is what I've been cleaning out of my space traveler."

She can has TARDIS, apparently.

"Ah, back from the realm of the temporally challenged, then? Well, I knew you'd eventually manage it. You're too clever by half."

"Or just clever enough," she comments with a small smirk.

She sips at her tea.

"You look hideous."

"Ever the soul of tact," he remarks, smirking.

"I abhor wasting time," she says in reply.

There's a long pause.

"What's wrong? I know I haven't done anything. I've been too busy recovering what work I can salvage."

"How did you feel," he asks abruptly, "when you realized your TARDIS was gone?"

She draws back at his question and takes a moment to finish chewing her fruit. A sip of her tea follows during which she considers what she might tell him.

"I do my best not to feel," she says at last. "But I suppose, if I had to examine the emotion, it would be a sense of indescribable loss."

Her TARDIS had been her home since her exile, the only constant in her life when everything else was gone. It was where she kept her work, the vehicle which gave her the stars, the ages.

It was a constant reminder of how she had triumphed, even in a small way, against the Time Lords who had dismissed her.

He nods, thoughtfully. "Yes, that sounds about right," he says, mostly to himself.

She raises an eyebrow.

"You've lost your TARDIS?"

"Thought I had, for a time. Ground beneath it collapsed in an earthquake. It fell for miles. Twenty or thirty miles, straight down."
