So yesterday was National Coming Out Day. Artie didn't really feel right about participating, though; while he is openly gay, he's not yet comfortable being openly gerbil on campus.

Milliways, however, is a whole other story. Artie is now seated at a table with a sign saying:

Simon looks rather pleased with his name badge. "What's all this about?" he asks idly.

"National Coming Out Day is a holiday intended to raise public awareness of alternative lifestyles," says Artie. "Of course, here in Milliways, 'alternative lifestyle' can have a rather broader meaning." He points to his own nametag for emphasis.

Simon leans forward, peering at the name badge. "Ah. Interesting," he says without sounding very interested in all. "And your name is--?"

Simon glances at his name badge, still looking quite pleased with himself. "I think I'll leave you now to your...charity work, then, and use this to announce important information to the rest of the bar." He looks up from his name badge and winks at Arthur. Because Simon can be an ass like that.

"Good day."

And with that, he's gone.
