...Only somewhat menacing, for Yrael currently seems unable to choose which he wants to eat first.

Cora is clearly brave and courageous because she settles onto a barstool not far from the menacing not!cat and says "Hello, Yrael," with fond amusement.

Brave and courageous indeed, because those chopsticks are sharp!

"Hello, Cora," Yrael says, grinning brightly. There's a smile he's not seen in a while. "How have you been?"

"Life proceeds normally," she says, wrinkling her nose with some amusement, "as life usually does, except when strange taverns show up in the school cupboard. And yourself?"

"Oh, quite normally. I have only visited a couple of new worlds, lately, and have been pretty quiet."

Relatively.

Especially after having been put in the cells. But he's not mentioning that.

"--You did?" She asks, with a startled look. "Have they been interesting?"

She would be certain he had a very good reason for being celled. He is Yrael, isn't he?

"Quite. In one, a friend of mine gave me lessons on hand-to-hand combat, and in the other, I visited a very lovely library. It was so tall, I could not see the ceiling," he says, smiling.

Cora is totally not beaming like a teacher who has heard of her dreams actually existing in some world, no. Of course not.

Except where she is.

"You did?" She asks, not really disbelieving, before blushing at her excitement. "That is--I've never heard of that many books in one place, the library they have hear is enormous as it is."

"It was lovely," he grins. "The only problem I had with it was that I was not allowed enough time to find the ceiling."

It vexed him.

"That is truly regrettable," she says sincerely. "Perhaps they will let you go back and explore more thoroughly?"

And take her along? Though she'd not ever ask.

He winces, slightly. "If I am allowed to return, it will have to be through other avenues. I doubt I can get back the way I went, before."

And that is the only bit of regret he has for what he did to Riku.
