It is rather fortunate that Tristran and Yvaine have not been turned into animals - who knows what sort of strange ruckus the two of them might have caused as animals with very little inhibitions.
Besides, Tristran already knows exactly how it feels to be an animal, and he can't say he enjoys it very much. He's rather glad that chapter in his life

The star turns, tilting her head to the side and poking Tristran back slightly so she can see around him, smiling politely.
"Oh," a blink and a small wave. "Hello."
She's getting better at this social thing, really she is.

New, they may be to her, but he's been here for a while now - he just doesn't talk very much.

"I don't believe I've met you before," she offered, with a smile still. "I'm Lady Marian."

"We have been - detained for a while," she replies. "So it makes sense to have not, I am thinking."
She shrugs a bit sheepishly and then remembers her manners. It only takes a little while this time.
"I am Yvaine, and this is Tristran. Pleased to make your acquaintance."

"We're on a little bit of a vacation," he adds, a slightly lopsided smile appearing on his face.

The Star would be pleased to know Marian could not at all tell that she was not fond, or quiet good, of social interactions thus far.
"That sounds decidedly lovely. Where abouts is your home?"

"Faerie," she replies and glances quickly up at Tristran. "Well, more specifically, Stormhold. Or at least if will be - eventually."

Tristran nods again. "Yes, once we're sufficiently content," he says with a bit of subtly dark humour.
"And where, Lady Marian, are you from?" Some noble kingdom as well, he thinks, with a title like that.

"Nottinghamshire in British Isles, during the early twelfth century." This caused the smallest odd smile. "There aren't many people from Earth here that early."

"I do not think that we are quite that early anymore," her nose wrinkles thoughtfully - time, to stars, is a bit more blurry than it is for mortals. They age slowly and time seems to go a lot faster when you're watching it from such a distance.
