It is rather fortunate that Tristran and Yvaine have not been turned into animals - who knows what sort of strange ruckus the two of them might have caused as animals with very little inhibitions.
Besides, Tristran already knows exactly how it feels to be an animal, and he can't say he enjoys it very much. He's rather glad that chapter in his life

Tristran doesn't notice anything; admittedly, he is far too enraptured in his own little world, and it is a world that sadly revolves around the girl next to him.

Especially with a great deal more hair ties than should be considered legal. Or braids. Braids would be fun.
The girl, it might be noted, is equally wrapped up in grinning stupidly and glittering in a rather conspicuous manner.

Tristran blinks, looking at Will confusedly. The man looks familiar, but really, it's been so long since they've been back at the bar to mingle and socialize that the memory escapes him.
He turns to Yvaine. "Is he talking to me?"
Reply
"Well, he certainly isn't talking to me."
She tilts forward once more, grinning a bit crookedly.

"Yes, come and join us." He withdraws his arm from around Yvaine and straightens a little. Must be proper, after all.
"I thought there was something else familiar about you," he muses, more to himself. "Well, it's nice to meet you again, then, Will."
Reply
"It is fine, really," she reassures. "It was quite some time ago - and it was dark anyhow."
A shrug and a dismissive flutter of fingers.
"It is harder for humans to see and all that."
Reply
"Aye, milady was a good bit ago, since I seem to 'ave forgotten yer names an do feel remiss 'bout that."
Reply
In any case, he can't say he's exactly good with names either, though he tries his best.
"So, what have you been up to since that party?"

Yvaine excels in sarcasm.
And unrepentant abuse of certain parties within abuse-range.
Tristran deserved elbowing and she's interested in Will's answer anyhow. It works out nicely.
