There is a quiet thump as a black-feathered bird drops from the rafters, landing neatly in a chair ( Read more... )

The raccoon that has climbed up onto Raven's table to help himself to the cookies seems all in favor of the inhaling theory as he stuffs his face quickly. There is still quite a bit of mess but he can take care of that later.

Raven, who is always hungry, attempts to keep pace with the creature.

He is very good at it.

"You are for wanting more, perhaps?"

They will need a fresh plate soon, regardless.

Finally! Someone who is not going to run the raccoon off for stealing his food!

Bill nods eagerly, a cookie in each paw.

Raven flags down another waitrat.

"Also possibly you are fond of milk?"

Cookies make Raven thirsty.

So does anything, really.

Another eager nod and a chatter of thanks.

And let's hope the waitrat is a speedy one because the raccoon has just finished the last of the cookies. He sits on his haunches and starts to brush crumbs off his face and then pick them out of his fur and tail.

Raven offers him a napkin.

Well, probably it was a napkin, once.

Right now it is rather torn.

Oops?

At least the waitrat is on its way back, yes?

The napkin is accepted, sniffed at and then discarded for not being more food.

The return of the waitrat brings out a raccoony cheer.

Raven laughs again, scooping up half the cookies in one go.

Or at least he tries.

Better safe than sorry with the raccoon, yes?

Yes, because the raccoon digs in fiercly when the cookies arrive. He makes a little stack beside him and starts working through them quickly.

Bill likes Raven much better then that werewolf he'd run afoul of before.

Raven is not so bad at being likeable.

When he tries.

And sometimes even when he does not.

He is almost finished with his second batch of cookies, as well.

It is a pity.

Yes, very sad indeed. But since it seems the cookies are at an end Bill drinks the milk and then stretches and yawns. Time for a nap and he knows just the spot.

He moves pretty quickly for a stuffed raccoon and scampers up Raven's arm to stand on his head.

Hmm, not as nice as Will's but comfortable still. The raccoon busies himself with getting settled on his new perch.

Raven does not appear overly perturbed by his new hat.

He just sprawls in his seat, making himself comfortable.

He will give Bill an hour, perhaps.

And maybe he will take a nap himself.

Sleep is not entirely unpleasant, after all.

On occasion.

Raven you are now this raccoon's most favorite person ever!

Maybe when he wakes up he'll give you a piece of shiny. He may also clean out the cookie crumbs that have landed in Raven's hair.

Raven is fond of shiny.

Also the lack of crumbs.

They itch.
