There are already quite a few animals in the bar. It's probably for the best that this one can not speak; the entrance was silent (or hidden), the transformation equally so. The creature looks listless and resigned, as though waiting for something.

Death, maybe? Death would be good. (*#+^@& Milliways.

It is, of course, at this point that Raven pokes the koala in its side.

Then tweaks its ears.

He is very cheerful about this.

It is a thing.

Probably.

Ow. Raguel ducks and tries to glare at the offending man, but it doesn't seem to be very effective.

Oh. Raven. Those are never effective.

At least he can be grateful that he's too small to be force-fed cookies. Though actually he could sort of go for a cookie right now.

Raven does not yet feed the Raguel-koala cookies.

He does, however, attempt to remove him from his current position.

Koalas are cuddly, and Raven arms are, perhaps, not so bad at pretending to be tree branches.

Much to his horror, it is remarkably easy to walk along Raven's arm with all four appendages. He has two thumbs on each hand. Someone has a very wrong sense of humor, he thinks, until he realizes who the Someone probably is.

...One of those idiots in Animal Design who always looked stoned, no doubt.

Raven laughs and ruffles Raguel's fur.

"You are, I think, squishier like this."

Beat.

"It is cute."

Now if only he were pink . . . .

Fur ruffling feels kind of nice.

And DEMEANING, yes. He hopes his sudden stillness gets the point across.

Raven just tweaks one of his ears again.

They are very big.

"It is not so bad, that, I do not think. Coyote would appreciate it."

Raven lies.

Maybe.

A little.

Raguel is even more satisfied that anything he vocalizes comes out like a growl. On the other hand, it's clear that Raven knows who he's talking to - or close enough. Coyote has a lot of friends, but perhaps not all of them are so mercilessly teased by Raven.

His growls become a little more frantic-sounding, though it's unclear what he expects Raven to do about it.

Raven tilts his head, blinking at Raguel-koala.

"You are for wanting to visit her? It is not so difficult a trip, I do not think."

He stops, and with something of an effort, resists the urge to dig sharp claws into Raven's arm. He shakes his head frantically. Letting Coyote see him this way is not the way to improve the situation, he feels.

Raven just pets him again.

"You are very cuddly like this, I am thinking."

Also good for sleeping on?

It's really good that Raguel can't hear Raven's internal monologue. Between this and the 'pink' comment he'd be a very rude koala indeed.

'Cuddly,' though... that sounds dangerous, frankly.

Raven gives Raguel an Eskimo kiss.

Because he can.

And a koala's affronted expression is, perhaps, priceless.

Even if it is like all their other expressions.

It may look the same, but Raguel's pretty sure that Raven understands the full depth of the affronted expression. Also that Raven doesn't care at all. He takes a step back down the offered arm.

Raven makes a face at Raguel, and shifts to tuck him firmly against Raven's shoulder.

"You are for needing eucalyptus, I think."

Surely bar will have some fronds Raguel can eat.

Surely.

Eucalyptus? Why on earth would he need that?

Further thought is interrupted, though, by Raven standing and moving through the crowd. Raguel holds on more tightly. It's unnerving being carried this way with no control over where you're going, but it would be more unnerving to be lost in that crowd.
