There's a face people probably haven't seen lately. Nicholas has been around, but he's been busy.
Okay, by busy, the narration means "The Mun was being dumb."
Anyway, ex-priest in a bar. Chain smoking. He hasn't been wearing his usual threadbare suit lately, and has defaulted to black pants and teeshirts. He's got a glass of whiskey to one side of him as he hunches over a book, reading a play.
Tamburlaine, oddly enough, wasn't that bad. He had never heard of it before, and he was fascinated by the lost literature from Earth as much as he was fascinated by the lost technology. He didn't seem too involved with it, though, so bothering was wholly an option.
