Okay, it's a bit late. But they've never done this before. Sometime in the afternoon, Miniver and Guppy clear out a space for a circle of chairs. There are signs up, and a table with coffee and tea and various snacks provided by the rats.

"Hey! YT! You're back!" Miniver beams at her. "Yeah, Guppy and I are. How're you?"

Guppy waves at YT from the other side of the table.

"Yep, you'll have to bear with us a bit, we're still finding our feet."

"The delivery thing?" He nods. "How's college? I always wanted to go. You're lucky."

Guppy winces.

"Me neither. Maybe when you've got to know them a bit better though you'll find you have more in common with a few of them. I mean, slackers may be annoying but they may not all necessarily be unpleasant people."

THAT feeling, Miniver has known. "I sometimes wonder if it isn't necessary to the nature of people that they take for granted what they don't have to work for. The most basic things seem precious to those who don't have them. Food, money, love... some people are lucky enough to be born rich in all things, others are not. The fools are the ones who squander them."

"Plus if they're not used to paying their own way they'll leave college poorly prepared for the real world in that sense too."

He passes the biscuits.
