Gavroche tumbles in through the painting above the fireplace, already laughing, and makes a beeline for the Bar to claim some sweets before he goes out to the tree fort.

When Gavroche gets outside, he might notice a girl around his age playing fetch with her dog near the lake.

[street_sparrow]

Oooh, a dog. He likes dogs. Has one of his own, at home.

He grins and wanders in their direction, just to watch.

[ghostwitch]

It's only a little while before Malu realizes she has an audience. So, she does what any airbender would do in her position: she shows off.

Nhia barks and chases after the stick after it lands from being spun around in a little mini-cyclone.

That gets a grin of appreciation, and he applauds a little.

[ghostwitch]

Malu smiles and looks over, giving a little bow.

"Thank you," she says.

[street_sparrow]

"Your dog likes it too", he says apropos of nothing much except understanding her barking. "I'm Gavroche."

[ghostwitch]

"My name is Malu," she replies. As her dog walks back over and drops the stick at her feet she adds, putting a hand on the dog's head, "And this is Nhia."

[street_sparrow]

"She's pretty." He smiles again at the girl and the dog. "Good to meet you both."

[ghostwitch]

"And it's nice to meet you." Malu grins. "So, are you just out for a walk around the lake?"

[street_sparrow]

"I was going to the fort!" he says, brightening further. "Over there, see?"

[ghostwitch]

She looks to where he's indicating. "In that tree?"

[street_sparrow]

"Yeah! Enzo's building it with his friend Tyler!"

He's every inch enthusiastic almost-teenage boy.

[ghostwitch]

"Sounds like fun." She can't really blame him. "What all are you putting in it?"

[street_sparrow]

"Don't know yet." He grins. "It's not finished. Want to see?"

[ghostwitch]

"I'd love to."

Nhia sits and watches the two of them, wagging her tail.

[street_sparrow]

"Come on, then!"

And he's off and racing towards the tree.
