This is Ace. This is Ace who has had a rough few days, and just wants to curl up on the couch with a good book and not get into trouble.

Too bad this is Ace we're talking about. Otherwise, it might have worked.

"Ace," says a familiar voice, and this time there is no fuckery whatsoever with accents, "I've been a fucking arsehole."

"Yes," Says Ace, not yet looking up from her book. "You have. But Annie says I can stay at the farm, so Spoon's better."

"Yeah, well-"

The piece of paper that's dropped over her shoulder comes in an envelope, so it's a little hard to dismiss as trash or anything of the sort.

"-that's for you, as long as we're on the subject."

Ace tucks her book away and picks up the envelope, frowning as opens it and examines the contents.

"An' what's this then?"

[awesome_lilly]

"Ace!"

Lilly beams, shoving aside her laptop when she spots the pyro on the couch.

"God, I haven't seen you in a million years. Come have a drink, I can get you a chocolatey one."

[nitro_is_ace]

"Lilly! You know me too well. How are Gecko an' Geckoette?"

Ace still thinks they're perfectly acceptable names, and grins at Lilly while she puts a bookmark in her book and shoves it under the couch.

"Oh, they're fine. I think."

Lilly shrugs. She's not really up on baby development stages.

"Still breathing, so."

This counts as fine!

"How're you? How's the Kit-Kat?"

Ace would consider this as doing fine. They're not dead, right?

Yet another reason why Ace should never ever ever have babies.

"I'm doin' a'right, an' the Kit-Kat's still luscious as ever. How's Puck? By the way, I say for everyone with a brain here... Puck??"
