Having to work on top of getting ready for high school is annoying.

And it's doubly annoying when that work is an extremely delicate negotiation of land rights between trees in Central Park that was supposed to be settled months ago, and is being complicated by the sidewalks

"Dai, Nita!" rustles a tree from close by.

He doesn't come in very often, but just noticed that he wasn't hired for Security. So he's not quite as cheerful as usual.

Still pretty cheerful, though!

"Filif!"

Nita beams.

"Dai, big guy! How're you?"

[kein_tannenbaum]

"I am doing well!" He brightens back at her. "Somewhat bored--did you know there were these mints that made people change gender? They weren't magical, but they caught Duo and I think he's your friend--and you?"

". . . Nope, missed that one. So, what, Duo got turned into a girl?"

[kein_tannenbaum]

He rustles and acknowledges this. "I offered him a male mochteroof if at any time he has to return home. I have not seen him since, though, so perhaps it wore off."

[nita_callahan]

"That was way nicer than I would've done."

Duo is fair game for teasing, as far as she's concerned.

[kein_tannenbaum]

"Oh?" He peers at her, brightening curiously. Mischief is not his strong point (but it DOES intrigue him). "Is it an amusing occurence amongst humans?"

[nita_callahan]

"Well, it's not a particularly common one. So it's got the potential for humor."
