Outside the door can be heard the sounds of feet running and running straight at the front door. Shouting can also be heard and it doesn't sound friendly at all

Glancing up and around, Luz quickly finds the other kid's voice and smiles. "Nah..just aggressive negotiations." But yes, Tyler, bullies. He stands with a groan using his right sleeve to cover his bleeding lip. "They wanted my money and I wanted it too."
"I know how that goes," Tyler waves and smiles back, reaching into his backpack for some tissue paper and holding it out for him. "or else you're just a nice easy target for them to take something out on you if their experiment blew up in their face."
The tissue paper is taken after a little curious inspection then straight to his bleeding lip. "Thanks. Easy target? Maybe. I, at least, fight back." Thus the looking like he just ran through a wall or something.
Reaching out he offers a hand towards Tyler, trying to smile but wincing as he does so. "Name's George Luz."
"Tyler Marlocke." He grins back and shakes George's hand. "Well.... back home the other kids tend to have superpowers, and Zodon gets really cranky when he can't conquer the world."
Thus the backpack stuffed with essentials, flashlight, bandaids, tazer, spare clothes and communicator.
"Wait..what?" Tyler has just scored points for confusing the 1930s kid. "You have...superpowers? Like Superman?" Tyler has also just got George's full attention.
George frowns at that, it's a thoughtful frown but its still there. "Well...I guess so...But if he's so busy saving the world how can he have time to have kids?" Or anyone with superpowers for that matter. His world was..well..a mess in a sense.
"You must go to a really swell school if that's the case!"
"It's fun sometimes, except for gym class. Or when one of the kids accidentally scorches the playground. ...or blows up part of field trip to the moon." Tyler shrugs, "There's a lot of grown up superheroes where I live, some of them even formed their own super-teams."
The moon? Yeah...something was off with that. "The moon? Noone's ever been to the moon before except in the dime shows. But that's just the movies." Everyone knew the moon was made out of cheese too. So said the movie he had mentioned.
"My parents have a headquarters on the Moon, I've only been on the inside of there a few times though." It's not really occuring yet to Tyler just when this kid is from..."Uh-huh, there's Atlas; he's Ron's dad, Freedom Fighter, the Haunt, Genie, Ultima, Shadow, The Quantum Wizard, and a bunch of others. Some fight solo and some fight as a team, kind of like super-powered football."
Luz stares again before one eyebrow starts to raise slightly. "Your parents have a moon base or something?" That is just..the coolest think that George has ever heard! Tyler has totally just scored a bunch of cool points in George's book. "I've never heard of them though..We just really have Superman and Dick Tracy- at least the comics worth reading."
"...Just superman and Dick Tracy...?" Tyler's got like...fifty different comic book titles. He pauses to think on this for a bit. "...I gotta weird question, what year are you from?"
"1930- well..it's almost 1931. It's December now so not to far away." Beaming a grin he shifts the tissues on his lip only to find it bleeding even more again causeing the grin to fade just a little. "I know you have to be from the future..or however time here works."
"Yeh, I'm from from about october 2006." Watching George's face he looks worried and goes to the bar for some ice, returning with a clear plastic baggie of the stuff. "This might help slow the blood... I spend a -lot- of time in the nurses office after gym class."
Instantly the bag of ice goes against his lip. "Thanks... What's a gym class? It sound's bad if you have to go see a nurse every time after it. Kinda like when we go play in the sandlot."
Shifting the bag a little he glances towards the door just to make sure the other older kids weren't going to find a way in.
