Angela's enjoying her vacation. She's been able to forget (almost) the stresses she's been encountering at home, and she gets to sleep as late as she wants

And here's a face she hasn't seen in a while! Molly is wearing a huge smile when she waddles walks into the bar looking as though she is hiding a watermelon under her jumper.
"Angela! Hello! Oh, my goodness, it's been so long since I've seen you, I was afraid you'd gone home for good!"
"Well, he or she was very particular about specific foods and smells. I was really, really sick--and morning sickness doesn't just happen in the mornings. I couldn't get enough lemons, or sour things, either. I all right now, though anything to do with eggs still gives me a few moments of queasiness."
She gives a rueful smile, and shakes her head.
"That's about all. Every time they use one of their little machines on me, something breaks or acts strangely."
"Electric things don't react well to magic, so I suppose that's why. Cain is doing well! He's been feeling compelled to travel a lot, so we've been going on a lot of mini adventures. We went to Siberia, and on a cruise to Greece and we've been all over Britain, too. It certainly hasn't been boring."
That's and understatement!
"How have you been? Are you still modeling for the, what was it...snurfing people?"
Angela giggles. "Surfing. And yes, I am. Though I'm in school right now so they don't call on me as much. I'm not doing very much. I'm glad to hear that Cain is doing so well. Tell him I miss him when you see him, okay?"
She's so tired of people leaving and not coming back.
No worries on that front. Molly and Cain haven't got any plans to leave Milliways behind for good.
"I'll tell him. I'm sure he misses you, too. He's been the nervous husband a lot lately, and I know he misses getting in here to just relax a bit. He's busy right now making arrangements for us to go to a place called Toronto for a business conference or some such."
"Oh, that's pretty cool. I've never been to Canada--that's where Toronto is. It always sounded like a nice city to visit. You're going to bring the baby here when he or she is born, right?"
She does love babies. She'd love to see their baby.
"Of course! The magic in Cain's world doesn't work for me, so I have to come here to 'charge' my ring, as Mathius used to call it. It stores usable magic like a battery, he said, and then when I do spells at home, the magic comes from my ring. I have to use it sparingly at home, though."
She grins as she holds up her hand to show the ring that Magius gave her before he left.
"And if the baby is magical, I reckon the only way we're going to find out, is if he's here, and can use the magic here."
Molly grins and blushes. "I uh...I made my mother's kneazle go bald, I turned my building blocks into flowers...Gideon set fire to the living room couch, and Fabian made every window in the house turn into rock candy."
She shakes her head.
"There's no telling what form it will take, but I'm looking forward to seeing the look on Cain's face when it happens. If it happens."

She gets up from her seat to hug her friend. "How long has it been for you?"

"Oh, I'm not sure! Was I pregnant the last time we talked? I'm due in a month!"

Angela's sort of fascinated by pregnancy.

That would be an interesting side-effect, and Angela puts that away for future reference in a story.
"And how is Cain?"

She smiles. "What sorts of things do babies do to let you know that they're magical?"

She tilts her head. "I wonder what non-magical parents do when their child is magical--I mean, that's got to be a surprise."

Thinking about her parents makes her think of the arguments they'd been having lately.
