Which is why he's staring, rather, with a faint smile of his own.
"Good evening--Lilly, yes?"
Reply
He gets a smile back.
"Inigo, right?"
Like she doesn't know. Still, this is the one polite thing Lilly regularly sticks to in Milliways.
Reply
She remembered his name! And he remembered her name correctly.
"I hope you have been well? It's been some time since we spoke."
Why he's gone so long without speaking to her again is beyond Inigo, at the moment.

Lilly nods at the bar stool beside her.
"Have a seat, we can catch up. Want anything to drink?"
Reply
"I'm fine--but can I get you anything? I would be glad to," he offers, eagerly.
Reply
"Sure, why not? I'll take a vodka tonic, thanks."
She smiles at him.
"So, what have you been up to? Anything interesting?"
Reply
"Nothing too exciting, but business is good," he tells her, returning the smile. "And you?"
Reply
Lilly tilts her head, thoughtful.
"Oh, I accidentally got married! That was weird. And then someone threw kids at us, and that was even weirder."
Reply
She said 'accidentally', part of him points out.
But she hardly seems very unhappy about it, another part counters.
"Oh. Married?" he manages, eventually.
Reply
Lilly shrugs.
"It's not so bad. Puck's handy with the kids, and actually his boyfriend is surprisingly good with them for a trained killer-type."
Reply
"Your...husband has a...boyfriend?"
That is not how they roll when and where Inigo is from.

And then she remembers that Inigo is from a land of True Love. And possible blathing.
"We have a weird marriage, in that... uh. We're not actually sleeping together, and dating other people. Well. He is."
Lilly sighs, a bit.
"So unfair that my husband has a boyfriend and I don't."
Reply
"I am no' sure I understand. If you were from my time, I would say that sounds like a marriage of convenience, but those usually happen as some sort of political arrangement."
Reply
To her credit, Lilly realizes this is not helpful.
"I mean, we like each other fine and all, but it's not romantic. We just haven't really bothered getting divorced."
Reply
It's a weird sort of marriage, but he seems pretty cheerful at understanding it.
"So neither of you is...averse to the other having other relationships."
Don't come on too strong, he tells himself.
Reply
Lilly pauses.
"Or at least, you know, if the opportunity came along and it wasn't too complicated. It can get that way when you're dead."
