"Psst,"

Someone from the shadows (or maybe someone who is the shadows) stopping by, some time after Le Chiffre has left.

For all that Le Chiffre takes care of Santi, Santi also spends a good deal of time watching Le Chiffre. The man always seems to be in some kind of magical trouble.

And Santi wants to say thank you to Mel.

Mel glances up, sees him, and her heart breaks. That's just who Mel is. One day she might become jaded to dead, sick and hurt kids. But it's not yet.

"Hey," she says, with a smile.

"Thank."

A small smile, and he's doing his level best to stay out of sight because people scream.

"Am Le Chiffre adopt and thank."

Mel blinks slowly, then her smile fades slightly.

"He kinda hurt someone," she points out gently. She only let him go for this kid.

Santi looks at his toes, sadly.

"No lo se. Was not looking was hiding. Eso es nice perro los brujos... crazy."

He's not normally doing things like that. And Santi feels kind of guilty about not being there watching him because he tries to take care of Le Chiffre when the bar puts spells on him, but he had to hide in the woods for a bit.

"We are go to Spain."

"Spain's rocketship," Mel says, dropping conversations about crazies.

"Never been there, but you'll have fun."

"Show him home."

A real smile, quick and glad because it might not be fun but it's where he's come from and Le Chiffre should see.

"Orphanage."

"Oh, rocketship."

Mel's not in the least phased now by the ghost aspect or the orphanage.

"Good to keep true to your roots."

"Si. So, thank."

That's just all he wanted to say, really. He's missed Le Chiffre while he's been crazy.

"Hey," Mel puts out a hand, not even sure if it will make contact with his shoulder and grins, "no problem. Hadda be done."

Funny how she now feels completely vindicated with letting a stalker and kidnapper go free.

It does. In a like-touching-dandelion-puffs don't push too hard kind of way.

Beaming eight year olds are always good validation.

"Is always brujas? Forget and love and am angry at crazy magics Is always?"

A bar that's always spelling its patrons isn't very nice.

"Sometimes," Mel admits with a little guilt. "Not always. It's kinda random, with all the worlds colliding."

Not the Bar's fault. Never the Bar's fault.

"Want not crazy."

Le Chiffre's better when he's not being horribly stalky or not knowing who he is. Although the second one was cute.

"Then take him to Spain," Mel suggests. "And enjoy the non-crazy time in the middle."

"Thank again."

Fading back, simply not-being anymore because he should really go.
