Peregrin Took is a very dignified hobbit.

This is why he dashes through the door, looking over his shoulder -- and immediately trips and goes down in a tangle of legs, scarf, cloak, and vegetables. Cabbages, carrots, potatoes, and a couple of mushrooms go rolling across the floor, lodging themselves under tables, in the middle of the floor, and quite possibly underfoot.

With a huff, young Pippin starts to lever himself up -- and then he stares dumbly at the floorboards directly under his nose. He looks up, and a wide grin blossoms. He had begun to think he would never again stumble through the door into this place with magically appearing food and strange Big People (but mostly magically appearing food).

Thoroughly pleased to be proved wrong, Pippin sets about chasing down his escaped vegetables, with an occasional, "Hoy, you! Get back here!" as a cabbage rolls away from him.
