Tucker stands silent for a moment, agonizing. To become part of technology, and not just by getting, like, cybernetic augmentation or something, but to be technology in its very essence...
But without the reversal device completed, it might even be permanent. Besides, the 'Net's a war zone right now.
It hurts, but self-preservation wins out. "Fine." He shoots a look at Enzo. "But when all this is over and Ray's got the laser working both ways, I get to visit."
Enzo grins. Of course he could count on them. "Hi, Danny! Hi, Tucker! Thanks! Sure, you can visit." Everyone can visit! There will be a party! With fireworks! Yay!
To business, then. "Daemon's got Mainframe," he explains without preamble. "And Bob and Dot and everyone. But Oracle told me the cure's probably fixed - thanks, Tucker! - so we can cure people, I think, and Matilda's making fireworks to throw at Daemon."
"Seriously! Ask for one futuristic plasma cannon, and you get a three-page lecture. In ten-point font. And she wouldn't give me any food until I read the whole thing." So unfair.
"I don't have too many people yet, and I don't think Bonzo's got any superpowers, but Matilda's really good with hers. I know where we can get a bunch of filelockers in Mainframe, though. Those just freeze you. But we'll have to get into the Principal Office."
Fortunately, you don't need a good map to find the P.O. Or any map at all, really. "Right in the middle. Bob and Dot and everyone were outside the P.O. And that's where Daemon was coming, so she'll probably have her Guardians there. But they were attacking the port before, that's in Kits," he points to a certain spot on the rim, "so I dunno."
Enzo knows this one; he overheard Bob and Dot discussing it. "She needs Bob to make portals for her." He grimaces. "He's her 'Messenger'. He's gotta have Tears for that... so, yeah, the P.O."
