J.C. is seated in an armchair by the fireplace. He was reading a book (William Gibson's Neuromancer), but said book is now on his lap, all but forgotten. Instead of reading, he stares into the fireplace, occasionally taking a drag from a cigarette held between the fingers of his right hand while he absentmindedly fiddles with a silver lighter in his left.
His current train of thought is not a pleasant one: it would perhaps be best if someone came along and interrupted it.
