Internal emo is still emo.

But hey, here's a friendly distraction plunking itself down next to him.

"Hey."

He doesn't look over, but he smiles.

"Axel."

"Hephaestos." He's quiet for a moment, clearly thinking about something. "I'm going to be getting a heart," he says.

He smiled as he turned now.

"That's good. I've designed one before. Didn't go well."

Pandora and everything... and we will not continue down this line because then things will get complicated and meta.

"It usually doesn't," Axel agrees. "But Yrael's done this sort of thing before..."

[forge_fire]

He nods.

"Sounds promising."

[killitwith_fire]

"We're being very careful," Axel replies. "We want to be sure we have everything right, before trying anything."

[forge_fire]

"I'm here if you need me," he says. An offer, one that Axel doesn't need to take but he wouldn't let the chance go by without offering at least.

"Thank you," Axel says, with a faint smile. "Probably... Yrael's doing all the hard work, but I'll let you know."

"Good to hear."

A pause.

"Any other news?"

Axel shakes his head, and then tips it back towards the sky.

"Not really," he replies. "I've met a lot of people here, though."

"Never really what I was good at."

He turns and shrugs.

"Anyone interesting?"

"A bunch of people from some place called the Fire Nation," Axel replies. "They're... interesting."

[forge_fire]

That sparked his interest, as the saying goes.

"Who?"

...because there's one person from the Fire Nation he'd really like to meet.

"A lot of them," Axel says. "The first one a bumped into was a boy named Zuko," he says. "Didn't learn who he was 'til later though. Then I met one General Zhao." He smiles slightly. "We get along. Later, I met a girl named Azula - Zuko's sister, apparently, she's the one I got his name from - and a little while after that, a couple more girls. Mai and Ty Lee," he provides. "Got it memorized?"

That gets a quirk of his eyebrow.

There's a couple names in there he's interested in. Mostly Zhao and Azula. A General and Zuko's sister.

He'd have to look into talking to them both. Especially as he didn't have the first idea where in Hades Zuko was. It's not as if the lad had--

Another failure there.

He smiles.

It's easier.

"Got it."
