Daemon Rising, part 4a

[a1enzo]

[In this installment, a virus approaches Mainframe with her new helpers, a boy plays catch with his dad, seduction is attempted and cut short, and plans are put into motion. Speaking of which, here comes one of those plans now

Bonzo is in the Bar. He doesn't look teriffic (he's a bit patched up), but he looks better than he did a few days ago.

[a1enzo]

Enzo didn't see Bonzo a few days ago, and he doesn't see him now. He's hammering on the door with his fists. "Let me through! I have to go back!"

[mandercommander]

Bonzo walks over to Enzo, who is making lots of noise. "Door giving you trouble?" At least you're not on the side with a loaded gun in someone else's hand...

[a1enzo]

Enzo looks up. "Bonzo! It won't open and I forgot to tell Dot something really important and I hafta let her know 'cause I know Bob won't stop on his own but maybe she can make him and Phong won't tell her and..."

[mandercommander]

Bonzo smiles just a little, noting Enzo's hyperactivity. "Calm down, Enzo." Pause. "Beating on the door won't help...I don't think. What do you need to tell her?"

[a1enzo]

Hyperactivity? What hyperactivity? This is normal.

Enzo takes a few deep breaths like Phong tells him to sometimes. "Bob and Phong found out that if Bob keeps using his Glitch powers it'll kill him but he can't stop fighting Daemon, it's his format, so he's gonna keep using his powers anyway and he told Phong not to tell but I heard 'em and he won't stop if I tell him but maybe if Dot does..."

He did start the sentence at a normal speed, but that didn't last too long.

[mandercommander]

Blink. "Alright..." Pause. "Bar seems to have a lousy sense of timing in all of this. Uh...who is Daemon again?"

[a1enzo]

"She's the supervirus who's taken over the whole 'Net," says Enzo flatly. "We've got a cure, but it's not working right yet, and Dot sent me here to find someone to fix it..."

He freezes. "Oh, no." He turns to face in the direction of the bar. "Crash it, Bar!" he cries, not caring if grown-ups hear him cussing at this point.

[mandercommander]

Bonzo gets what Enzo is saying, even if the language is a bit odd. He lets out a frustrated sigh, glaring at the knob. Yeah, you mess with us all, don't you? He declines to kick the door in frustration, but the irritation is there. Most definitely there. "I'm...sorry Bar isn't being more...helpful."

[a1enzo]

"Oh, she's being helpful!" shouts the kid. "She's helping Dot! Go ahead, take her side!" He turns to Bonzo. "She said to stay here until someone came to take me back."

[mandercommander]

And Bonzo facepalms. "She wants you staying here to avoid the fight?"

[a1enzo]

"Yeahhhh," says Enzo in a tone of resignation, 'cause he knows it's true. "But she wants me to get the cure fixed, too. That's important!"

He is very proud of this. At last, he gets to help in a concrete way!

[mandercommander]

"What's wrong with it?" Not that Bonzo can probably help it, but...why not ask just in case?

[a1enzo]

"We dunno yet. It didn't work right when Bob tried to cure Turbo. I need to find someone who can figure out why. Oh, also, it only works for Guardians; that's not really something wrong with it but we wanna fix that too if we can."

[mandercommander]

Alright. Bonzo is definitely helpless in this situation. "I'll...help you if I can." Pause. "But I'm a little lost when it comes to programming."

[a1enzo]

Enzo smiles. "Then you can help me find a Programmer!"
