Faye is wandering around, trying to find something to do. She misses her friends, and wants to figure out how to go home. Being bound, in her opinion, gets boring after a while.

It feels like one of those "what did the character forget to do? why are they reliving their day over and over again?" type books, and frankly, Faye is tired of it.

"Having trouble, miss?" says Quinn, who's just come in from outside. When it gets too dark out there, he keeps waiting for something big to cross the sky. It's unnerving.

"Hmm? No. Just a bit frustrated," she says with a grin.

"Ah, right," says Quinn. "I take it you're Bound, then? 'Cos there's about twenty other things it could be, but that's what most people I've seen who're stuck in the Bar seem to have going on."

"Got it in one," she says with a smirk.

"Name's Faye," she says, almost as an afterthought.

"Quinn," Quinn answers. "Good to meet you, Faye. Been here long? I can't remember seeing you around."

"I've been here for a while, but I've been sulking in my room, to be honest with you, Quinn. The Bar's fantastic and all, but I'd really love to go home."

"Can't say I blame you, if you're from anywhere reasonably decent," Quinn says. "This place gets to be more than you want to put up with after a while."

"Home wasn't bad. I take it your home wasn't?" she says, walking a few steps to a nearby table and sitting down.

"It's a matter of company, to tell you the truth," says Quinn. "We've got a bit of a farming community up in Northumberland, and we've just had more guests than any of us know what to do with turn up without warning. D'you mind if I sit?"

"Not at all. Hell, I kind of figured you would. I'm not used to people with manners," she says with a smirk.

"Yeah, if people come in and you don't have the resources to take care of them, you're kind of in trouble."

"We had a hundred and fifty American National Guardsmen turn up at once," Quinn says with a bit of a sour expression. "With about five minutes' warning, tops. I'd like to know where I'm supposed to put 'em all. We don't have that many beds on hand."

She grimaces. "That's fantastic. I hope you made them sleep on the floor."

"Oh, they're all still waiting." He jerks his thumb over his shoulder. "I haven't given them their places yet. I think we might find a room that's just been cleaned and make 'em sleep on the floor with the smell to deal with. There's no way I'm going to put any of my people out of their places for this."

She shakes her head. "Nor should you have to. You may have to quarter them, but they don't have to be comfortable."

She pauses. "Why did they show up, anyway?"

(My hard drive seems to be doing a few funky things, so I'm going to shut my computer down for a while. It was nice tagging with you, and I hope to pick up in slowtimes!)

"This is the bit where things get really over-the-top," Quinn offers as a warning. "The short way to put it is that civilisation pretty much fell before I was twenty years old, and these blokes're travelling because of that. The long version's got the details in, if you're still interested."

(OOC: Not a problem, I totally understand!)

Faye blinks a few times, but nods. "I'm definitely interested."
