Alex is reading an instruction manual tonight, and for once it has nothing to do with ships, or planes, or flight. This is the instruction manual to a smart gun system, and since he heard of the non-lethal training devices, he has been determined to understand and try them.
If he can figure out exactly how they work. That is taking a little longer. The smart gun tech is a little more advanced than Alex's time. Add to that he has absolutely no clue about guns at all, and he is finding the learning process taking longer. But he doesn't mind tonight. He is seated near the fire, warm, with root beer at hand, and a grin on his face.
It isn't a bad night to be Alex Rogan.
