And a Spider Man comes careening through the door some web still in hand. He lets go and lands on the table in front of a man and his kids.

"Not now!" he whines,"I almost had him!"

"SPIDER!" Georgia shrieks with glee. Keiran echoes her shriek, albeit wordlessly.

"Hello," Grissom says placidly.

"Hi," said a rather stinky Spider. He was smiling nervously behind his mask, although, being that he had just been in a fight his mask as a bit beat up. One of the lenses was falling off and bits of his costume were missing.

He got off the table and sat down like a rag doll in the chair, "And i don't have my home work!" he mumbled.

Looking the kids he didn't know what to say.

"Would you like something to drink?" Grissom has worked in Las Vegas the past twenty years, and one of his dear friends dated Barry Allen here. Someone in a spandex costume isn't going to get a second blink.

"I need food," he said and flagged down a wait rat, "ummm can i have a coke and a BLT?"

The rat squeaked and was off.

"Um... heh, I am Spider-Man," he said tentatively putting out his hand.

"Gil Grissom," he says cordially, shaking his hand. "These are my children, Georgia and Keiran."

"SPIDER!" Georgia says again, importantly.

He looked at the child and wondered what to say. His food arrived and he rolled his mask up halfway so he could eat. He looked at the kids and at Grissom," you guys hungry?" he asked.

"We just had lunch," Grissom says mildly. "Are you all right?"

"Yeah I'm fine," he said and took a bite of sandwich, " I was just about to get the guy."

He cocked his head," Where are you from?"

[gris_bug_man]

"Las Vegas, Nevada, 2007." Though soon they will be in Britain. "Yourself?"

"Queens," he said and took a swig of soda," 2005."

He wondered if this guy would notice that he was only a kid.

Grissom's already reached that conclusion, it must be said. And he is also trying to deduce which timeline this incarnation of Spider Man is from.

None of this is visible on his face. "Queens is an interesting part of New York, though I far preferred the ambient atmosphere of Alphabet City."

Spidy looked at Grissom, "You don't hate me," said Peter matter of factly.

"No, I do not," Grissom agrees amiably. "I find needless hatred to be a waste of resources."

"You wouldn't believe how many people hate me," he said looking down at the table," I haven't done anything but try to help people."

"What do you do?" he asked.

[gris_bug_man]

"Unfortunately, many people will react with fear and loathing towards someone or something they do not understand," Grissom says quietly. "I am a crime scene investigator."
