And there we have a wide eyed, jaw dropped young girl, one finger pointing towards KARR. More appropriately, at the door he came through. "How did you do that?"

"Do what?" KARR turns slightly so that his prow is pointing more in her direction.

"Holy car a talking fuck!" She stops a moment, rearranging that sentence in her head. "No, you know what? I don't have any problem with that. But that door let you in, without changing size, and you're twice it's size! How does it do that?"

"Magic, I assume. Frankly, I try not to think about it very much, and remain thankful that I can stay a car. I dislike changing form in general, much less in and around the bar's main area.

And yes," he adds after a moment, with an amused tone, "I do happen to be a talking car."

She rubs the bridge of her nose, her eys squeezed shut. "Wow. Okay. Wow. Seriously. I wish I was old enough to drink."

KARR can't help put laugh a little. "You know, you're the first person to react this badly to my existing in quite awhile. The idea of a talking car can't be that upsetting, can it? And of course, if you truly want to get technical, then I'm merely a computer housed in a car."

She takes a deep breath, relaxing now. This isn't so bad. "Okay, that? Really not that bad. I was expecting, like, a human turned into a car, or a car whose spirit had been awakened or something like that. I'm not so used to the scientific answers." She looks him over more carefully this time.

Rowr. Daym. That? Is a car. You can almost see the drool start to form. "Wow. You're, spiffy."

"I can turn into a human if I feel like it, but I wasn't human originally. And thank you," he says, preening a bit. After all, he's a vain thing. "I was built to be the prototype of the car of the future."

She's going to ginore the turn into a human bit. Cause, weird enough talking car. "What year?" Cause sometimes, here, you have to ask.

And she's moved closer, just to admire this wonderful thing, her hands itching and reaching out, not actually touching him, but oh, she wants to.

"My model? 1982. If you mean the door...sometime in 1985. I'm still waiting for everyone else from my universe to catch up to that point."

Not poking him is a good idea. Just because KARR enjoys being admired doesn't mena he enjoys being prodded.

She doesn't want to poke, she wants to stroke. And if they were both human, that would sound really wrong, so she pushes it out of her head. "And you're this advanced? True AI?"

"Of course I am. I happen to be quite sentient. It seems that technology in my universe is far beyond that of others in some areas...and regrettably behind in others. I look forward to the day we can use the graphics technology I've seen here."

"do you get enough use, out here?" She eyes his form. "No offense, but you're not exactly a 4 by 4."

That earned a snort and a laugh. "Enough use?" He sniggered again, thencleared his vocalizer. "Yes, I do. Bonnie certainly puts me to...good use."

Could that be a euphemism for something?

No, no. Of course not.

Oh yes it could be! Which, makes Molly stare even more so. "Wow. So, that's why you're a stick shift?"

"I'm a stick shift, I assume, because someone on my development team preferred them it to an automatic. Either way, I have yet to have a problem with my transmission."
