Two CSIs are sitting at a table.

One CSI is bouncing his son on his knee.

The other CSI is a bit distracted.

"What's on your mind, Sara?"

".....well....."

See, children are distracting. And Ajedrez is in a distractable mood. So when she looks up from her tattoo picture work and catches sigh of him, she's, well, distracted.

Who could blame her? Keiran is adorable!

That he is. The little boy gets a smile and a little wave.

Keiran waves back, burbling happily. He sadly cannot speak at the moment.

Gil notices the woman Keiran is waving at, and gives her a cordial nod.

She has baby cousins, she understands.

"He's a cute little boy," she tells Gil. Her voice is quite, almost husky, and for all that her accent is mostly American there is a chaser of something a bit more Latin.

"Thank you. My name is Gil Grissom; this is my son Keiran."

Keiran looks almost like he's preening. He KNOWS he's adorable.

His sister looks content to pull on Sara's hair, earning an eek.

"I'm Beatriz Ajedrez," because it's polite to say two names when the other does.

"Keiran...unusual name."

Ah, his name is the most mundane thing about Keiran.

"Gaelic in origin. His sister's name is Georgia."

Unusual names, but what can be expected for wee gods and goddesses?

If she learns that, the somewhat Catholic Ajedrez is going to get a headache.

"Ah, I see. I don't often come across Gaelic names."

Grissom won't likely bring it up unless the conversation comes around to that.

"Where are you from if you don't mind me asking?"

"Not at all. Mexico, 2003. Yourself?"

"Las Vegas, 2007. My family will soon be moving to Britain."

"New York City, 2000," Sara chimes in after introducing herself.

A quick smile to Sara.

"New York, I've heard before here....but not Las Vegas."

[gris_bug_man]

"It's a very large, unfortunately crime-ridden city in Nevada."

She runs over her sentence in her head, and then sighs a little. Bloody English.

"I know. My dad used to go there a lot, but I've never been."

"Well, most people won't see the sides that Gil and I do in our work," Sara adds, courteously continuing their conversation in Spanish.
