There's an ex-banker sitting at a table near the doorway, trying to get some fresh air without actually having to move. It's kind of working out for him.
Currently he has a glass of water and just seems to be people watching, in the mildly yet mostly unintentional glaring way he's often seen doing. It's not his fault he glares! He's just not a natural smiler.
He does, however, smile very briefly as he catches a glimpse of a lurking white sheet, and gives a small wave over. He really can't tell if the scary ghostie is looking his way.
Santi makes a sound as close to a shriek as ever, and flies across the room, white fabric swooshing out behind him like a cape because he's been in and explored and met people and got a pet car and Le Chiffre helped.
Which is why Santi trips up onto the booth seat too in an ungainly mess and throws arms around his neck.
Yeah, so that muscular British blond dude who was minding his own business at another table? Totally saw that. First he noticed because it was Le Chiffre, and as much as he hates the fellow he's hard to ignore. Then he noticed the blur of white. Then he noticed that the white thing was hugging Le Chiffre.
Part of him asks "WTF," the other part wonders why he doesn't carry a camera with him at all times. The things you see in this place...
The speedy approach was entirely unexpected, as was the pouncing hug. So much so that his eyebrows shoot up, but the hug is returned with one arm, if a little awkwardly because.. well.. he's not really very good at that sort of thing.
"You're in!" He states, almost triumphant sounding in the whole thing. Because Santi in the bar is celebratory occasion.
.. He also notices a Mister Bond nearby. It's hard to know whether Le Chiffre should start with the frowning, or looking smug, so he just kind of glances over instead.
Children are perceptive things. Especially Santi, who's used to ducking adults. He picks up on the look, and the tension, and the shock, and settles down a little. He's not letting go of Le Chiffre, though.
Because this is because of him. That he can do this. So.
There is a fair bit more glaring over at Bond before he turns his attention away, because the last time him and the spy met was during a rather heated ass kicking. But Santi is far more important right now, so it is eventually the dead boy who wins the attention receiving.
"And how are you?" He questions, smirk returning for the sake of the kid. There is also still an arm around him in a loose hug thing, because he'd feel guilty if it was stopped.
He nods back, glad to hear that there are meetings going on, although the thought of certain meetings does bring a cause for him to lower his eyebrows ever so slightly.
"Just be careful, all right? You can't trust everyone."
Le Chiffre hasn't heard that name before, but judging by the sudden change in Santi, he can make a rough guess. It's a similar reaction he gets himself when thinking back to something he'd rather not remember.
"You've got friends now, people to help," he reassures, though still with that underlying warning. Don't talk to strangers, kids.
That arm he had around Santi still remains, tightening ever so slightly as if sensing the direction of thoughts. Maybe he should stop with the warning, he doesn't want to scare the kid away.

He hopes that's the word, fingers crossed. Isn't it good? This is wonderful? It's fun. It's so bright inside here.
"Thank. Gracias."
