It's done. It's really truly finally done... except for that one corner and rechecking the light levels and whatever, it's close enough to done.

Well. Chalk this up to yet another thing Chloe failed to tell Clark when she brought him here.

"Delicate... flowers?" Clark isn't sure he wants to know.

Lilly smiles ever so sweetly at Clark.

"That's the name of my club, yeah. You haven't heard of it before? I'm a little hurt."

[hero_farmboy]

"It's nothing personal," he is quick to assure her, with a smile of his own. "I'm still pretty new around here. That and, well, clubs aren't really my thing." So says the kid who spends most of his free time in a barn.

"Ohhh, new. That makes me feel better, I'd hate to think my advertising wasn't working."

Lilly tilts her head.

"I'm Lilly, by the way. DeadNeptuneCaliforniaEarth2005. What's your name, and what's with the not liking clubs?"

"Well, it got my attention today, so I'd say it's working pretty well," Clark replies and then blinks a few times at her introduction before gamely offering his own.

"Clark. Kent. Smallville, Kansas, 2006." Earth need not be mentioned, because it's Kansas. Where else would it be? "And I'm underage. Not allowed."

Plus, the three months he spent when he was sixteen as a kryptonite infected club kid kind of cured him of the whole experience.

Luckily, Milliways is really good training for keeping a poker face when being introduced to a young, hot Superman. Otherwise, Lilly would not have been able to resist an Abs of Steel joke as an excuse to poke his stomach and things would have gone rapidly downhill.

"Nice to meet you, Clark."

Clark KENT.

"I'm technically underage myself, although I get to waive that because of being dead. As long as you're over 18, you can come to Delicate Flowers, though. And if you flirt with the right people, you can probably get served."

CLARK KENT.

"Nice to meet you too, Lilly."

As for the flirting part, Clark just gets a little wide eyed. "Uh, yeah, I don't really drink anyway, so that's not much a problem. But, you know. Maybe I'll, uh, stop by anyway. If I'm here, of course."

"Oh, you should."

Lilly's smile is encouraging. Not in a scary way!

"Especially if you're new. Parties are a great way to meet people around here."

[hero_farmboy]

"I'll run it by my friends," he suggests, offering Lilly a small but sincere smile. "See what they say."

"I'm sure they'll tell you to come."

She really is, too. It so rarely occurs to Lilly that people might not want to come to parties.

"And hey, if they've been here a while, maybe they could vouch for how awesome my parties are."

...Chloe very probably would tell him to go, if only to be able to laugh at the spectacle that would be Clark Kent in a brothel-slash-nightclub. As if the strip club hadn't been enough.

"Chloe's been coming here for a while. I'll ask her. Do you know her, Chloe Sullivan?"

"Oh, Chloe!"

Lilly nods enthusiastically.

"I haven't seen her in like, forever, but we talked when Meg Giry and I were starting our Milliways newspaper. I think our total lack of excellent journalistic standards kinda disappointed her, though."

Clark grins at that. "Yeah, if it's not the Daily Planet, it's not good enough for Chloe. So that's your paper I've seen around?"

"That is, yeah," Lilly confirms.

She laughs.

"I believe it. I mean, it's totally not a normal paper, but then... this is not exactly a place where normal news happens, you know?"

"That's something you figure out pretty quickly, yeah," Clark chuckles again. "Of course, neither is Smallville, but Chloe was usually able to back most of that stuff up with facts. She's pretty insistant on that."

"Impressive."

Lilly leans in a little.

"I have to admit, I'm not really all that attached to facts. Sometimes they're so boring, you know?"
