She bumps into someone as she leans against the bar, an elbow lightly tapping a surprisingly warm stomach: There's a small, wordless protest from behind her, and the sudden scent of cigarettes and summer peaches.

"Careful, Lilly," Meg's papi laughingly chides. "Wouldn't do to damage the merchandise, hm?"

Lilly blinks, startled, but her expression changes to a smile when she turns around.

"Aw, you know I'd never do that... unless, of course, the merchandise made a special request."

Desire's eyebrows arch slightly, the Endless giving Lilly a playful, thoughtful look. "Vraiment? -- I'll have to keep that in mind."

Lilly's sudden companion leans over her shoulder slightly, pulling a bunch of orange flowers seemingly from the air and offering them to her. "Congratulations, by the way."

"Flowers, for me?"

Lilly accepts them happily, lifting the blossoms to her face.

"Tiger Lilies, even. Wow, it's like you're really good at this or something."

"Tch. Many, many years of practice, ma cherie."

"I should be hurt -- I never did get that tour of your fine establishment." Desire plays it off with a small, casual shrug and a knife-bright grin: If she were to look quick, she might even catch the wink ending Desire's statement.

Lilly has the grace to look sheepish.

"Yeah, renovations ended up taking just a little longer than I expected. I'm really sorry."

She blinks big green eyes up at Desire.

"Is there any way I could make that up to you?"

Oh, the possibilities in that one question: Simply endless.
The reaction Lilly was no doubt expecting is there, those golden, cold-warm eyes giving her an appraising look. Desire, after all.

Always Desire.

"Mmm... Care to dance, Lilly?"

Lilly arches an eyebrow.

"With you?"

She meets the cool golden gaze with a hint of defiance in her eyes.

"Don't I always?"

The look Lilly earns from Desire is anything but 'cool,' now: She's one of his (hers? Desire's), as if it were ever in question.

Desire's glance may flicker toward the stairs and linger a moment before offering Lilly one fever-warm hand and leading her out toward where other patrons are filling the dance floor.

This is her best friend's father.

Unfortunately, that's never been a stumbling block for Lilly Kane. She follows Desire onto the floor, allowing the Endless to pull her into a dance.

It's a bad idea. Really, really bad idea. But... it's been a long time since Lilly's had such a wonderfully bad idea.

It's almost always a bad idea when Desire is involved... But it promises to be a fun ride. Desire is also shameless: If restraint were in the equation, he might be more concerned that Lilly is Meg's BFF.
Poor Meg.

But perhaps what she doesn't know won't hurt her?
