[On Shadow: Sallie and Jack come to
an agreement regarding one last legacy.*]
Actually, it'd taken them the better part of the afternoon to get enough out of the pantry to allow for Jack to pass through while leading the mare behind him, and her curious nose managed to knock over another full bag of flour which they'd had to clean up before he could take her through, but eventually they managed. When he opens the door to Milliways, his face is totally obscured by the brim of his hat as he looks back at Sallie, but she's got her sleeves rolled up and a look on her face that says if you try backing that chŭn de mare up heads will roll, so he...just keeps on going, mare at his heels, clopping placidly along.
It takes a little manuvering to get her through the main bar area, but she's well-trained and only a few toes that didn't quite move quick enough get stepped on before he leads her out back and to the stables.
He ought to be back in a minute, but he's got to settle her in, first.
Time enough for a beer before he heads back, though...or maybe two.
Looked like a lot of cleaning up to do, back in the kitchen.
* This OOM is shamefully overdue, but Jack and I are around for a few hours. So if you want to know about the horse, this is the time to ask.
