Ryan's on the far side of the lake. He's hungry, therefore he's eating. (Don't ask what if you're squeamish.) His clothes look worse for the wear. In fact, there's several large spots of dark brown along with some fresher splashes of red, particularly on his shirt. While munching, he's watching the other's that have gathered around the lake.
If you're human, that'll include looking at you like you're food.
