Garion, lacking a bartending icon FTWince, is settled at the bar, no drinks up on the board. He's got Beldaran with him, tucked into his arm and with the other he holds onto one of the drink recipe manuals, his lips quirking back and forth in indecision. Back and forth, back and forth, and eventually he closes it before laying it on the bar

"Evening, Garion. An ale, if you don't mind."
After a short moment, he looks over, and sees Beldaran. The young child manages to make him smile a little.
"And good evening to you, young lady."

She's smaller than most children, with copper curls and skin that's pale and just faintly almost green. If there's any way to tell, she 'feels' like a tree.

He smiles somewhat, taking the ale with a nod of thanks to Garion.
"You must be the lovely young daughter Garion told me of, then. A pleasure to meet you."
Link enjoys children. As much of a handful the ones from his village can be, he'd always feel better around children.

He chuckles and gives Beldaran a slightly melodramatic bow, before looking back at her father.
"How have you been, Garion?"

Link has a funny habit of doing potentially life threatening things for people he's met only once or twice.

"Let me explain before you offer," he says. "Though I probably won't turn you down. This? Is a nasty situation."

"It wasn't.
"Now there are three different locations in my world where rips between my world and Hell are allowing horrible things through that could cause no small amount of trouble.
"And this is, as per usual, my job."

"My offer still stands. My sword is at your disposal."
Sure, it sounds like something of an intimidating task, but he's willing to help.

"I'll keep that in mind. We'll probably need you."

Then his tone of voice changes to being far more pleasant. He's never been completely comfortable speaking of such grave matters around young children, and he doesn't want to upset Beldaran.
"But beyond this whole situation, things have been fairly good?"

"Yes, rather good. I haven't been out much, regainin my strength mostly and making sure I'm in top shape to handle things."
