Adam hasn't left Milliways since he got back yesterday evening, which is why he might be looking a bit antsy--he can leave the bar and be at work in twenty minutes if he's called in, but he still doesn't like being out-of-universe during crisis situations. He'd just been reluctant to go home, when it's technically safer here at the moment.
(Ignoring the fact that while Newark hasn't been hit by any bombs or nukes yet, he has been attacked in the Bar. His black eye is fading nicely anyway.)
