Things have, perhaps, not been so interesting lately

She's making her usual rounds, zooming around up in the rafters, when she sees someone she hasn't talked to in a while.

And...huh. That's interesting.

Peach drops down to perch on a chair, cocks her head to one side, and watches Raven.

Raven looks up from his paperclip chain, eyes black and bright.

He blinks at Peach, head tilting in turn.

"You, I think, are for having been busy?"

"Not too bad," she says, after just a brief pause. "About the usual, really. What's up with you?" Still watching him closely.

Raven grins, a little crookedly.

"Things, I think, are mostly much the same."

Mostly.

[winged_defender]

"You sure about that?" and she looks amused, just a bit, now. "Things change."

She hops forward, onto the arm of the couch.

[creator_raven]

He laughs, head tilted back.

"That, I think, is a thing I do not forget."

He cannot, really.

It is what he is.

[winged_defender]

"Yeah, that's what I thought," she says. "You're different, yeah?"

[creator_raven]

He wrinkles his nose at Peach.

"I am, perhaps, always changing."

Which is, to one extent or another, 'yes'.

"Yeah, well, it's nice when somebody around here can," she says, hopping along the couch, closer to him. "Of course some of us are already perfect, but, you know."

Her voice is casual shading toward cranky, like usual. But her eyes are shining.

"It is unfortunate, perhaps, but some things are not so easily helped."

This is the point at which Raven attempts to attach the paperclip chain to her tailfeathers.

He is not laughing.

Nope.

Peach doesn't seem to notice until he's almost there, then whirls around just in time to dart forward and try to catch the chain in her beak.

She doesn't really look all that displeased, though. Shiny clanky things are fun!

Is this now an avian tug-of-war?

Whoever could be the winner?

Raven does not appear to care.

But he is not letting go of at least one end of the chain.

It is a thing.

Peach is not at all daunted by Raven's being many times bigger than her right now. Such is the courage of the One's Champion!

Of course, from the way she's shaking her head back and forth, it's possible that her goal is not so much getting the chain as sending paperclips flying all over the bar.

Raven can help her with that!

It's fairly simple, really, given that he is shaking the chain, as well.

Bystanders may want to be careful.

Success!

Several paperclips land conveniently in the drinks of patrons sitting nearby. Peach cackles delightedly, not at all dismayed by the drinks splashing onto the couch.
