Sara is working busily with small cards and envelopes.

Seems someone has realized that invitations need to be sent out.

She would gladly welcome a distraction. Or help.

"Those look exciting."

Guppy peers over her shoulder, also looking for a nice distraction.

"Oh yeah, tons of fun." Sara makes a face. "I'm halfway tempted to leave a note on the board: If you're one of my friends, be here on the 31st and don't show up naked. Wouldn't that work?"

[guppy_sandhu]

"Yeah, that'll do. I think most people know what to do with Earth weddings. Want any help writing them out?"

[lvpd_sidle]

"I've mostly gotten them written out. Here--" she slides over a sheet. "Start addressing them for me while I finish these others?"

[guppy_sandhu]

"Sure." He sits down, just the hint of a wince as he does so, and starts writing the names in his neatest and least doctor-like handwriting.

"Are you all sorted ready for the wedding?"

[lvpd_sidle]

"We're getting there--and what's with the wince?"

Ah, CSI for a sister. Aren't you lucky, Guppy?

[guppy_sandhu]

He glances up.

"One of these days I'm going to perfect my hiding wince technique to CSI-proof levels." He replies, with a small smile. "Got bruised on the job, it's fine, thanks. Have you picked out a dress yet?"

[lvpd_sidle]

"Yes, I've got my dress, and I'm refusing to wear white." She's still eying him.

[guppy_sandhu]

"It's not yellow with polka dots is it?"

He doesn't look too bad, for him. More awake than normal, though the little grey marks of long term sleep deprivation haven't yet left. But his movement is slightly awkward, sore.

"Oh damn, you figured me out. Now what will I wear?"

[guppy_sandhu]

"Aw, you'll look great whatever you wear."

[ooc: No matter how often you use that icon, it always makes me smile. It's just so pretty :)]

"Why thank you. It's a deep red, actually, and don't tell Mark that."

"Wouldn't dream of it, and it sounds lovely."

[lvpd_sidle]

"I've never liked the color white, and I don't follow traditions that don't make sense to me, so...." she shrugs, reaching for another card.

So does he, the wince returning as he does so.

"All traditions have to start somewhere. Why should it matter what everyone else does?"

"True--and are you sure that you're okay?"
