So, Axel's been bored. Slouching on the couch by the fire is all well and good - and not a bad 'hiding place' so far - but it's boring. So he's up and about and moving around today. Hood still up, of course, but, hey

Naminé is in the bar, in a booth, by the window today. Not really looking out of it at the moment, but she's close enough that if she were to turn, she could catch the universe resetting itself on the occasion.
It isn't as though she's afraid of it or anything. In fact, if anything, it's interesting.
Which is definitely close enough for Axel to notice her. She might hear a faint creak of leather as he leans over the back of the booth, over her head.
He bends, and swiftly scoops it up, offering it to her between two fingers, his expression neutral.
"Seems like there're a lot of us turning up here," he comments. "Kinda funny, that a bunch of people who aren't supposed to have a real destiny keep showing up in a place that so many people think only the destined wind up."
"Neither have I." She's not the only one who's relieved.
He glances around by reflex, mostly, then slides around into the seat across from her.
"But if you see him - if he bothers you - look for Rachel from Security. You can't miss her; she look like she could be my sister." Kind of feels like it, too, but he's not mentioning that part.
"All right," she says, nodding once more. Though in all honesty, she really doesn't plan on being around when Xemnas is, if she can help it. "I'll remember."
A moment later, she tilts her head a little, watching him as though she is studying his face. It could be that she's...missed him.
"Have you...found him, yet?" she tries, voice gentle, serious. She's only seen Roxas a couple of times, and he appeared to be from a different time than her.
She would reach out for Axel's hand, but she isn't sure yet. After all, so much time has passed. She isn't even sure what happened to him before she became whole once more with Kairi.
"Yeah." A faint look of pain flashes through his eyes. "He barely remembers me." And that hurts. That really, truly, hurts, not just something translated from a memory, or something that fake.
"I tried telling him, but every time I try to explain things, I screw up," Axel admits, looking away. He dosn't say anything about it, but the touch is appreciated.

She's sketching and doesn't notice Axel yet.

"A-Axel?" she breathes, pencil dropping from her hand. It lands on the floor with a light tap.

"It seems that the bar believes we're allowed to choose our own destinies," she replies, voice light and maybe only a touch hesitant.
It's just a little difficult to believe she's speaking to Axel; it's been a really long time.

"You've heard that Xemnas is here?" he asks. She is, after all, one of the people he'd rather not see fall into the Superior's hands.

She nods. "I haven't seen him," she says and Axel will be able to tell that she sounds quite relieved by this.

"You been okay?" he asks. He'd been chasing Kairi for her when he'd ended up here.

"And what about you?"
Reply
"As much as I have been."
Which is to say not really.

"He appears to be from a different time than either of us, then," she says. "When I saw him, he wasn't aware of who -- what...he was."
