Mary's been outside for a while today, making sure that her tree survived the re-frosting relatively unscathed. (It did.) Now she's enjoying the warmth of the fire, Shakespeare book balanced on top of the survey book on her knees, and a milkshake by her elbow.

In general, she looks content.

"Ah, so you have proper books today."

Mary looks up.

"I always have proper books," she points out. "It is only that some are from the future. But they are proper there."

"Call me old-fashioned, I prefer books that you can turn the page with." She says, drily.

Mary tilts her head.

She does not understand this. Diagrams! That pop up! In three dimensions! How is this not more awesome than anything?
