Still no luck on the puppet cure research, although Ray's learned as much as Tobin's has to say about the Endless (not much) and pretty much everything Spates has to say about evil puppets (far, far, far too much; he may be sleeping with his stuffed Hound of Tindalos locked in the closet for a while when this is over). Right now he's just working on an obscure piece of the Testament of Barzai the Wise that seems to indicate that nearly any kind of magic or sorcery can be unworked by someone who understands, precisely and completely, how the caster's thoughts run.
Given that this whole mess reeks of Delirium, he's not too sanguine about his chances of success, but he's trying.
