Georgia is laughing delightedly.

Keiran is gurgling.

Grissom is looking around with a raised eyebrow. "There are puppets."

Would someone care to talk to the little family?

Gil gets hugged from behind by a husband, and beams at the babies.

"Isn't it marvelous? It's like living in Punch and Judy."

Gil chuckles. "Indeed. It was getting too quiet here."

Georgia raises her hands. "Papa!"

"Georgie!" he says back and scoops her up.

"Oh, you know how it is--the moon changes, madness enters the bar. It's the way of things."

He dances around a bit with the baby.

"Yes, it is. It's oddly comforting in that respect." He gets a bottle out of the baby bag, beginning to feed Keiran.

His leave ends on Monday and he will return to work.

"Puppets, sentient music, being changed into other people for Halloween? Just a normal day at Milliways."

He counts off the steps: "One two three one two three--" dancing carefully while Georgia laughs in delight.

Keiran divides his attention between the bottle in his mouth and his sister dancing with Papa. Gil wipes the dribble carefully up.

"I find myself not looking forward to going back to work," he says thoughtfully after a moment.

"You don't have to, you know," Jack says, bringing Georgia closer to Daddy and Brother. "I don't mind keeping you."

"Thank you, dear." His voice is humorous, if a bit dry. "I know that--but I believe I owe my team a little more notification of a permanent departure than a few days. I'm content to stay with the timeframe we've established." He raises Keiran to his shoulder, patting his back. "I'll just miss spending my time with this is all."

Gil Grissom, forensic entomologist extraordinare, has become a homebody.

Jack watches them, eyes shining, a tender smile on his face. "You could give them a week."

"I could." But he doubts that he will.

"Well, you know what's best for the team," Jack says with a sigh. "I do get you for the rest of your life. I'll try not to be selfish."

Gil chuckles. "I wouldn't call you selfish, Jack."

Jack beams at him. "When it comes to you? I'm positively greedy."

"I think I can live with that."

Keiran reaches out a small hand, successfully grabbing Gil's shirt. He crows delightedly.
