The bar door slams open, and Kira comes in from outside. She's wheezing slightly, in the manner of someone who's been running around in cold winter air, and carrying a dark felt bundle. There's odd white streaks over it. Kira looks around, heads for a booth, and puts it down. Now it looks more like a large, dark, hairy wolf ( Read more... )

Clive was, suffice to say, confused as all hell by all the puppets around.

He was however, ace with a needle and thread and sometimes good at coming to the rescue, which was what he did just at the moment, having been on his way past to head upstairs, "Uhm... you need some help?"

"Please," says Kira succinctly, handing over the needle with a sweep of her hand. "How do you anaesthetize a puppet? Do you need to?"

It should be noted the wolf is bipedal. He's also eyeing the needle with some trepidation. Don't worry, though! Soft felt teeth!

"uhm... I have no idea, I've never had to, maybe... like..." He shook his head, "I have no idea." He said again, threading the needle and doubling the thread easily enough, if it was a pupped it'd have to be durable.

"Jeez, look at him," Kira says, eyeing the--that is a bipedal wolf. "It's he great? I found him in the woods? Getting chased by rabbits." She's tucking the felt back in with quick fingers now that it's dry. A quick snuggle, and then she takes the needle. "It didn't seem to hurt to stuff him. . . hold still, hon, it'll be over fast. And--hi! I'm Kira. Can you start drying his paws?" She passes over the hairdryer, hesitates, and neatly starts in on the longest tear.

"he is pretty awesome, and I'm Clive, and sure." Plush wasn't really his medium, but he knew about how to dry and how not to dry felt. Costumes and all, he got a towel from a waitrat, not sure whether he should be talking to the puppet itself or not, "... um, okay, just a hairdryer, it won't hurt you."

Because cats didn't like the hairdryer, so logically the puppet that may have been a cat of some sort wouldn't like it either.

The werewolf squirms as Kira starts working. The needle doesn't seem to be hurting him any. Or maybe he's just distracted by lights! And people!

It sniffs at Clive curiously. What's he got? Is that a toy? Are they gonna play? Sniff!

Good! Kira will sew as quickly and neatly as she can. "Hold still, and when I'm done I've got some other stuff that may help you feel better." She's mentally reviewing the contents of her scrap collection.

Clive's smile went crooked, keeping the hairdryer on a low setting, mostly using the folded towel to sponge away the wet, "There, see? Nothing to worry about."

The werewolf's ears slide back against its skull as the dryer turns on. It's loud! Wah! But...but...it's warm too! Ooo! He thrusts his head into the breeze, soft felt tongue hanging out of his mouth.

"Isn't he the best?" Kira sews quickly, since it's evident this is an active. . . creature of the fuzzy night. "I just don't know what to call him."

Clive shrugged, though he couldn't help but smile at the antics, just waving the dryer back and forth while he continued trying to dry the poor thing off, "I dunno, he's some sort of .... really adorable hellhound or something, so ..." He shrugged, "Maybe like Barnabas or something." It was the only name he could think of, really.

His head weaves back and forth, trying to follow the flow of the air. There's a look of fierce determination on his face as he does so. It's fun!

"Barnabas." Kira tries to get a look at his face in between tying off the knot and rethreading the string so she can get the next one. "Hm, hellhound? I think those are bigger. And have tails."

He laughed again, shaking his head and waving the hairdryer muzzle around in circles, "Yeah, probably, but c'mon, he's adorable."

Round and round his head goes, following the hairdryer as best he can. Faster, faster, fas-

Oops. Too fast. In true puppet fashion, the eyes are now spinning in the tiny wolf head. He whines, gives a shake, and then starts following the wind all over again. Whee!
