Okay, getting serious now. Lock, the little devil, Shock, the little witch, and Barrel, the little skeleton, are having a pow-wow, staring at a very large piece of blank paper that they laid in the middle of their little circle.

Anybody up for some darkly muttering children?

"Put it on the third floor instead- near the furnace. And then that'll heat it up really nice." Lock is trying to reason with Shock in regards to a room, the point of which hasn't quite been decided yet.

Hey, it sounds like they're discussing floor plans! Interesting. Bond looks away, but he's still listening.

Barrel pipes up. "And make sure the weapons have their own room!" Lock and Shock stare at Barrel with identical looks of scornful disbelief.

"Duh."

...that gets him to look at them again. The look in his eyes is the same kind he would have if he were investigating something on the job.

Turning back to the paper, Lock points at an empty space. This is where my room'll be, next to where the food is."

Barrel blinks, cocks his head, and grumbles. "Hey! No, my room is next to the food. I'm hungrier more then you are!" He pinches Lock hard on the arm.

Lock, of course, isn't going to take this insubordination. So he punches Barrel on the arm in retaliation.

"Don't hit him!" Shock slaps Lock across the face, which earns her a bop on the head in turn.

Well, they are rather...violent...to each other. He wonders whether these things have parents and what those theoretical parents probably think of all that violence. They probably approve of it.

Shock gathers herself to her full height, which, including her hat, which she has retrieved from under a nearby table, is taller than both Barrel and Lock.

"YOU TWO SIT DOWN NOW!!!"

That doesn't do anything to help. Never has, never will.

Too bad she doesn't have her bag of tricks.
