By the fireplace.

Zenobia.

Very much a vampire (too pale a kin, too bright her eyes, too glassy her fingernails), but rather not bored, really.

However, she does drift over to the fire place - from curiousity more then anything else.

Bob doesn't see her coming. He's busy counting the bricks in the mantel. He's that bored.

She is wearing an anklet made of coins, and they jingle as she walks. And then they stop as she stops.

Glances from him to the bricks and back again, and she wonders if she is missing something.

He's not consciously aware of the noise until it ceases. When it does, he looks around... and jumps when he sees the slender girl standing so close to him.

"Oh! Sorry, didn't see you there."

A little smile.

"I didn't mean to stand so close."

[mend_and_defend]

"Ah, it's fine. Have a seat, if you want." He gestures to the nearest chair.

"My name's Bob, by the way."

"I will, thank you." And she takes the chair, curling one leg up underneath herself.

"And I'm Zenobia."

[mend_and_defend]

"Nice to meet you. Are you new? I don't think I've seen you around before... but then again, I've been kind of distracted lately."

[musicintherain]

"I'm new. And, normally I have my face covered."

[mend_and_defend]

"Huh. Why's that?"

[musicintherain]

"I live somewhere where it is the custom to."

[mend_and_defend]

"And where would that be?"

[musicintherain]

"Morocco, Earth."

[mend_and_defend]

"Is that anywhere near Vancouver?"

Bob has a very, very vague map of Earth in his head that he's trying to flesh out.

She thinks about this.

"The same planet."

[mend_and_defend]

"Well, I knew that. Is it... augh. I wish I could show you my map..."
